Previously released on MS 7408. Simultaneously released on cassette (MYT 38527) in 1983. Compact disc release followed at least two years later, in or after 1985 (MYK 38527). From the sleeve: "Re-mixed and re-mastered from original tapes, using the Dolby System..." Original inner sleeve is two-sided advertisement / proof-of-purchase for the CBS Great Performances series, with pictures of the first twenty-five releases on one side (although the pictures do not accurately reproduce the sleeves), and a list of the remaining seventy-five on the other (see photos). Track timings vary anywhere from one to three seconds per track from the compact disc version, although several tracks are of identical length. Originally recorded in 1970.
